Description
The police, symbol of order, security and justice, have never stopped fighting against abuse and corruption, helping justice, establishing security and contributing to the establishment of a community.
President Boumediène's speech at the meeting of national executives, on October 30, 1969 at Club des Pins, is quite eloquent on this subject:
“The State is not, however, and only this set of administrative apparatuses which are in reality only its essential supports. Other cogs contribute to completing the state structure, including the security forces responsible for the daily protection of people and property. It is thanks to the vigilance of these security forces composed entirely of Algerians that we were able to achieve many of the objectives already mentioned...".
The police, which emanate from the people and are at the service of these people, do not limit their role to the curative aspect by trying to repair the ruptures which divide society, caused by crimes or the spread of delinquency, loose morals and negligence, it also has a mission of information and education of the public.
The police today are no longer the same police from the colonial period that the people had to endure. It has acted since independence and especially after June 19, 1965 in harmony and agreement with the people.
She maintains collaborative ties with him, provides him with the desired services, meets his approval and encouragement. Thus, the police festival is a celebration of the popular masses. It concretizes the fusion and strengthening of the links between these masses in order to eliminate any possible dissension or discord and strengthen unity of action, strengthen order and ensure the future.
